How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

The original Xbox has no game cheats of its own, but the dashboard hides several genuine easter eggs and undocumented functions, listed below.
Parental Control Reset: In Settings highlight the Parental Control option, then press X, Y, L, X at the passcode screen to reset the parental controls to their default value.
In-Game Reset: During gameplay hold Start and Back together for a few seconds to soft reset the console.
Hidden FMV Sequence: Insert an audio CD and stop it at the player screen. Press B, choose Copy, Select All, then copy to a New Soundtrack named <<Eggsßox>> and press Done to watch a hidden Thank You video from the Xbox team.
Dashboard Team Credits: Rip an audio CD to a new soundtrack named Timmy followed by enough y characters to fill the name field, ending with an exclamation mark. When the rip finishes, open Settings then System Info to see a hidden Xbox Dashboard Team credits screen.
Bonus Video: Place any Xbox game disc into a standard DVD player to watch a short hidden bonus video.
Music Visualisation: While a CD or soundtrack plays, press Y then X to expand the jewel animation into a full-screen music visualisation. Press any other button to return to the track list.
Starfield Display: With the DVD playback kit remote, press Info during playback, then Stop or Pause. After the lights fade, a full-screen starfield visualiser appears.
Reformat Hard Drive: In Settings choose System Info, then press Y, left thumbstick Up, left thumbstick Down, X, A. This wipes every save file and soundtrack on the drive, so use it only as a last resort.
Music Controls: Press White to replay the current song and Black to skip to the next track.
Idle Voices: Leave the dashboard untouched for a few minutes and the screen dims while hidden ambient sounds and an electronic voice begin to play.
