How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Press L and R together at the main menu to open the cheat menu, then type in the codes below.
| Cheat | Effect |
|---|---|
| MIDAS | Unlocks all two-player games, all locked objects and all locked skins. |
| FREEALL | All items cost 0 Simoleons. |
| PARTY M | Unlocks the Party Motel two-player game. |
| SIMS | Unlocks Play The Sims mode without finishing the Get A Life dream house. |
| FISH EYE | First-person view, press Black in game to toggle it. |
Midas mode: Enter MIDAS, start a Get A Life game, get into the hot tub with the girl, then press Start and choose Quit followed by Just Quit. Everything listed above unlocks.
Free mode warning: With FREEALL you still need enough Simoleons to buy an item even though none are deducted, items cannot be sold for money, bills and services still cost the same, and it can upset saved games. Use with care.
Monkey butler: With free items you can afford the monkey butler, which keeps your room score up without any tidying.
