How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

The Sims 3 on Xbox 360 has a single master cheat that unlocks the whole cheat menu, plus plenty of honest money and skill tricks. Enabling cheats disables challenges and achievements for that save, so keep a clean neighbourhood save first.
Cheat mode: Load your family into a house, press Start, then hold LB, RB, LT and RT together. Follow the prompt to save, then buy Spoot the Magic Llama for free under Decor, Miscellaneous in Buy mode. Place him on the lot and click him in Live mode for money, karma powers, challenge rewards and more.
Mailbox cheats: With cheat mode active, hold LT and click the mailbox for a cheat menu with options such as Make All Happy, Make Friends For Me, Set Career, Force NPC and Reset Sim.
Trigger tricks: Hold LT and click the ground to teleport your Sim there. Hold LT and click a Sim for extra interactions like Trigger Age Transition and Modify Traits.
Easy money: Have your Sim write novels on the computer. Fiction novels are quickest but pay the least, while Romance novels pay the most. With the Writing skill maxed you can earn up to 40,000 Simoleons a week.
Same day refunds: Sell an item on the same day you bought it and you get a full refund.
Easy skills: Put a TV showing the Cooking, Fishing or Gardening channel next to a games console. Have one Sim watch to build skill, then have a second Sim start playing games on that TV. The first Sim keeps gaining skill until they move on their own, and repeating this on each channel teaches three skills at once.
Free bookcase skills: Buy a bookcase, have your Sim start studying, then interrupt them so the book drops on the floor and sell the bookcase. The dropped book does everything the bookcase did.
Baby genders: A pregnant Sim who eats apples is more likely to have a boy, while watermelons favour a girl.
Twins and triplets: Give one or both parents the Fertility Treatment lifetime reward to raise the odds of multiple births.
Ghost baby: Give a female Sim the Kleptomaniac trait and steal male remains from the graveyard. A ghost appears between 11 PM and 4 AM every other night. Become best friends, take the Fertility reward and Try For Baby for a ghost baby.
Ghosts at home: Steal tombstones from the graveyard and place them in your garden to get ghosts visiting your house.
Making friends: Get Guitar skill to at least level 5, then Play For Tips in the park. Everyone watching becomes a friend, faster at higher skill.
Disable ageing: Turn ageing off in Game Options to keep every Sim at their current age.
