How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams has no cheat codes on Xbox. Everything below is earned by finishing the game and starting again on the same save.
Extra options: At the options screen press L or R to open a hidden extra options menu with settings such as blood colour and map zoom.
Completion bonuses: Finish the game once, then start a new game to find new toggles in the extra options menu. Bullet Adjust doubles or triples the ammunition found at each location, the noise effect can be switched off, and scenes can be viewed without distortion.
Reveal signs: Finish all five endings, then begin a new game to have every sign revealed.

| Chainsaw | Finish the game on normal action and riddle difficulty, then check the pile of logs before the cemetery in a new game. |
| Dog Key | Finish the game with the Rebirth ending, then check the doghouse that appears near Jack's Inn; it opens the observation room in the nightmare hotel. |
| White Chrism | Found in the kitchen of Room 105 in the Blue Creek Apartments. |
| Obsidian Goblet | Found on a shelf in the Historical Society building in a replay game. |
| Book of Lost Memories | Found in the newspaper stand near the Texxon gas station in a replay game. |
| Book of Crimson Ceremony | Found in the reading room of the alternate Lakeview Hotel. |
| Hyper Spray | Finish the game twice with the same ending type, then check the motor home on the south side. |
Rebirth ending: Collect the White Chrism, Obsidian Goblet, Book of Lost Memories and Book of Crimson Ceremony during a replay to unlock the extra Rebirth ending added for this version.
