How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Shadow the Hedgehog has no button codes on Xbox. All of its extras are unlocked by clearing story lines and earning rankings.

| Omochao Gun | Clear the Semi-Hero story line. |
| Heal Cannon | Clear the Hero story line. |
| Satellite Laser | Clear the Semi-Dark story line. |
| Samurai Blade | Clear the Dark story line. |
| Shadow Rifle | Clear the Last Story. |
Level 2 weapons: clear both the Hero and Dark endings of a story line to upgrade that story's unlockable weapon to level 2.
Last Story: reach every sixth stage in story mode and view both the hero and dark endings for each one, ten endings in total.
Expert mode: get an A ranking on all 71 stages.
Library sequences: completing different story mode paths unlocks the intermission sequences for viewing in the Library.
Co-op quirk: a second player can control a Hero-side companion, but that character cannot use weapons or vehicles.
