How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Resident Evil 5 has no cheat codes; everything is earned in-game. Completing the story on any difficulty unlocks The Mercenaries, New Game+, the History of Resident Evil, infinite ammunition options and bonus costumes.

Infinite Ammunition: Fully upgrade a weapon, then buy the infinite ammunition option for it with exchange points under Bonus Features.
Wesker's Dash: In Mercenaries mode, click the right analogue stick to dash, then press X while dashing for a knee attack.
Distract Majini: If your partner is low on health and under attack, click both analogue sticks to taunt and pull the Majini on to you.
Two-Player Healing: If one player heals while the other stands close by, both players are healed.
Mercenaries Ammunition: Drop your least-used weapon and all of its ammo; the ammunition you find in Mercenaries mode will then be for the gun you kept.
Duplication Glitch: In two-player co-op, trade items to the other player, then quit. The receiver saves their game while the giver does not, so both players keep the items. Duplicating eggs and selling them is easy money.
Chapter Farming: Collect as much gold, treasure and items as you can, quit and save, then restart the chapter. Everything stays in your inventory to sell again.
VZ61 Location: In the Public Assembly, once the gate breaks open head down the street and turn right just before the gas cans to find a briefcase containing the VZ61 machine gun.
