NHL 2003 Cheats
How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.
Most of NHL 2003's extras on Xbox come from entering real names in create-a-player, plus a win-streak reward.
Bonus players: Create a new player and enter any of the following names to unlock that player with completed stats: Adam Hall, Alfie Michaud, Barry Richter, Ben Simon, Blake Bellefeuille, Brad Moran, Brian Sutherby, Chris Ferraro, Corey Hirsch, Dave Morisset, David Nemirovsky, Derek Mackenzie, Eric Fichaud, Evgeny Konstantinov, Greg Crozier, Greg Pankewicz, Guy Hebert, Ivan Huml, Jakub Cutta, Jason LaBarbera, Jason Zent, Johan Witehall, Kay Whitmore, Larry Murphy, Mark Fitzpatrick, Marquis Mathieu, Martin Brochu, Matt Herr, Matt Higgins, Michel Larocque, Raffi Torres, Rene Corbet, Rich Parent, Rick Tabaracci, Sascha Goc, Scott Fankhouser, Ty Jones and Xavier Delisle.
NHL player likeness: Enter an existing NHL player's name when creating a player. Confirm the prompt to get his face and picture, then rename and restat him however you like.
Easter Egg cards: Win ten games in a row with the same NHL team without boosting your goalie or players, and without using an international team. Winning one hundred in a row unlocks all of the cheat cards.
Easy goals: With a skater who has a very high Deke rating, such as Joe Sakic or Paul Kariya, cross the blue line, press Down then Auto Deke and shoot the moment the animation finishes. A slap shot from between the hash marks aimed at the top corner also scores most of the time.
Smash players through the glass: With a big hitter like Brendan Shanahan, press Big Hit when an opponent is near the boards for a chance to send them through the glass.
Deflection shot: Carry the puck to just inside the offensive blue line, hold Deflection/Short Block and shoot so a teammate in front tips it in.
