How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

NCAA Football 08 has no cheat codes on Xbox 360. Below are gameplay tips and glitches, plus the in-game accomplishment trophies and how to earn them.
Easier prospect drafting: When creating a prospect, set his home state to the same state as your team to get a higher ranking.
Hurdles tip: When playing a rival, the tacklers will go for your legs, so use hurdles often in rivalry games.
Statue of Liberty play: Using Boise State's offensive playbook, go to I Form-Normal and select Statue.
Hook and Lateral play: Using Boise State's offensive playbook, go to Hail Mary and select Circus.
Hidden endzone lines: In Play Now mode, set the game length to fifteen minutes, weather to overcast, precipitation to high and temperature to minus 20 degrees. Snow will cover the endzone lines by the second quarter.
Avoid celebration penalties: If you are about to be flagged for excessive celebration, pause and resume the game to skip it.
Two balls on the field: After a run from inside your own 20, watch the instant replay and you can sometimes spot a second ball on the field.
Use injured players: In Dynasty mode, start the game and play through the first kickoff, then pause and restart. Your injured players can now take the field.

| Tight End of the Year | Become the number one tight end. |
| Back-To-Back National Champs | Win two consecutive national championships. |
| Three-In-A-Row National Champs | Win three consecutive national championships. Winning rivalry games also unlocks their named trophies, such as the Apple Cup for Washington versus Washington State, the Civil War for Oregon State versus Oregon and the Egg Bowl for Mississippi State versus Mississippi. |
