How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Enter the following codes at the main menu of NASCAR Heat 2002 on Xbox. When a code works, the menu options visibly scroll to confirm it.

| High suspension | Up, Down, Left, Right, White, Left, Right |
| Mini cars | Up, Down, Left, Right, White, Down, Up |
| Wire frame cars | Up, Down, Left, Right, White, Right, Left Shoot paintballs: In single race or head-to-head mode, press Up, Down, Left, Right, White, Up, Up at the Race Day screen, then press Up on the D-Pad to fire paintballs. In practice mode the same effect is enabled with Up, Down, Left, Right, White, Down, Down, a code also reported to skip the current Beat in Heat scenario. Race as Richard Petty: Successfully complete all Heat challenges with a bronze rating or higher. Hardcore realism per track: Alternatively, earn a 100-point rating on a track to unlock the hardcore realism option for that track. |
