How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

MLB SlugFest 2006 has no button cheat codes. All of the bonus teams and stadiums below are earned in-game.

| Casey | Hit a triple at Wrigley Field. |
| Dolphins | Hit a home run in Atlantis. |
| Eagles | Walk three times in one game. A second controller makes this easy, just pitch nothing but balls. |
| Evil Clowns | Hit a home run with a Yankee in Empire Park. |
| Gladiators | Hit a home run in Coliseum Park. |
| Horse | Steal ten times in one game. |
| Lions | Hit a home run with the Tigers at Comerica Park. |
| Martians | Hit a triple in Rocket Park. |
| Minotaur | Hit a home run in Forbidden City. |
| Pinto | Hit an inside-the-park home run at Busch Stadium. |
| Pony | Knock the ball out of the catcher's hand with a takedown slide at home plate. |

Martians alternative: Some players instead unlock the Martians by making the fielder drop the ball with takeout slides at second base and third base in a row.
Fireball pitch: While pitching, choose a fastball anywhere in the zone and tap X repeatedly during the windup to throw the fireball trick pitch.
Easy outs on the basepaths: Stand close to a runner on base, then run towards the outfield with turbo. The runner will try to advance early and you can throw him out most of the time.
