How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Minecraft on Xbox One uses slash commands typed into chat rather than classic cheat codes. They only work in worlds where Activate Cheats is switched on, and turning cheats on permanently disables achievements for that world.
Enable cheats: Turn on Activate Cheats in the world settings when creating a world, or via Edit World on an existing one. This cannot be undone for achievements.
Open the chat box: Press Right on the D-pad while playing, then type the forward slash and the command. Autocomplete fills in item and mob names as you type.

| /summon creeper | Spawns a mob beside you |
| /effect @s speed 9999 | Applies a status effect |
| /enchant @s sharpness 5 | Enchants the item you are holding |
| /xp 100 | Adds experience points, use 100L for levels |
| /locate structure village | Gives coordinates for the nearest structure |
| /kill @e | Kills every entity, use with care |
| /gamerule keepinventory true | You keep your items when you die |
| /gamerule dodaylightcycle false | Stops the day and night cycle |
| /gamerule domobspawning false | Stops mobs spawning |
| /difficulty peaceful | Changes the world difficulty |
| /spawnpoint | Sets your respawn point where you stand |
