How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Max Payne on Xbox hides its cheats behind a secret menu. Enable it once during a game, then toggle the options from the pause screen.
Cheat menu: Press Back during gameplay to open the main menu. Hold LT + RT and click in both thumbsticks, then quickly press White, Black, Black, White, White, Black. A Cheat option appears at the bottom of the menu with All Weapons and Refill, the latter restoring ammunition, painkillers and bullet time.
Unlimited painkillers: Pause the game with Start, then press White, White, Black, A, B, X, Y, Y, Y, RT. A 100+ marker appears next to your health bar to confirm the code.
Level skip: Pause the game, hold LT and press Black, Black, Black, Black, X, X, X, X, X, X, Y, Y, Y, Back. A sound confirms the current chapter has been completed.
All Weapons option: Complete the game once to add the All Weapons cheat to the cheat menu, along with the extra difficulty settings below.
