How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Madden NFL 2005 accepts passwords at My Madden, then Madden Cards, then Madden Codes. Codes are case sensitive. The same cheat cards can also be won with Mini-Camp golds, listed at the bottom.

How Madden Cards work: There are 281 cards. Player cards boost that player for a set time depending on whether the card is Bronze, Silver or Gold; Coach cards raise team awareness; Stadium cards open venues for exhibition; Historic Team cards open those squads on the select screen; and Cheerleader or Pump Up Crowd cards give your team a temporary boost.
Cheerleader and Pump Up Crowd cards: Complete each team's Situation in Mini-Camp mode to unlock that team's card, except #251 Bengals, #260 Cowboys, #264 49ers and #273 Rams which are earned differently.
Higher Mini-Camp difficulties: Complete a challenge in Mini-Camp to open that same drill on the next difficulty setting.
