How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Enter the following codes at the Cheats menu under Options, strumming the colours on the guitar controller. Unusually for the series, cheats in Guitar Hero 5 do not disable achievements.

Free Auto Kick: Auto Kick can also be earned legitimately by hitting 200 non-cymbal notes on Mirror People at the Angel's Crypt venue as a drummer, fills excluded. Several other cheats unlock by completing the song challenges marked Cheats and Extras.
