How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

2002 FIFA World Cup has no button cheat codes on Xbox. The secret teams below are unlocked by winning the World Cup, and they can only be used in friendly matches.

Easy Goals: At kick-off, switch control to the other team and hold Keeper Rush so their goalkeeper comes out. Pause while still holding Keeper Rush and switch back to your own side. The keeper keeps rushing out, leaving an open net you can shoot into from the halfway line.
Always Score on Free Kicks: On a long-range free kick where the aiming circle is on the grass rather than the goal face, aim just inside one of the posts and double-tap Shoot as close to the green on the meter as possible. The ball will fly in along the floor.
Corner Goals: Aim the corner at the team-mate nearest the goal post and play a maximum pass to him, then shoot as the ball arrives. Alternatively, take a short corner, then dribble the receiver towards goal before shooting.
Throw-In Goals: For a throw-in near the opponent's goal, throw it as close to goal as you can, then move the receiver goalwards before he shoots for a good chance of scoring.
Tougher Opposition: Switch control to the team you are facing and set their skill level to World Class, then play as normal. Your original team will play much better for it, making for a sterner test.
Easy Victories: Win a couple of matches in a season or tournament, save the game, then simulate your next match. If you lose, exit and reload your save; after every win, save again. Done patiently this guarantees you finish first.
