How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce has no button codes on Xbox 360. Bonus characters are earned in Story mode, mostly by beating the five-star versions of key missions.

| Diao Chan | Beat the Battle of Hu Lao Gate mission on five-star difficulty. |
| Dong Zhuo | Beat the Battle of Luo Yang and Battle of Mei Castle missions on five-star difficulty. |
| Lu Bu | Beat Chapter 6 of any kingdom's story. |
| Meng Huo | Complete the Nan Zhong requests from the second gatekeeper in Chapter 3. |
| Yuan Shao | Beat the Zenith Tower request mission in Chapter 6 on five-star difficulty. |
| Zhang Jiao | Beat the Yellow Turban Rebellion mission on five-star difficulty. |
Third costume: Reach level 10 with a character to unlock their third outfit.
Hidden Legends: Legend cards for officers such as Zhao Yun, Xiahou Dun and Zhou Yu are tucked inside specific mission rooms in Chapters 4 to 6; explore side rooms on each map to find them and unlock that officer as playable.
