How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Dead or Alive 3 has no button codes, but almost every fighter has alternate costume colours selected with different buttons on the select screen, plus hidden costumes and the hidden fighter Ein.
Ein and Random Select: Finish Story Mode with every character, then play Survival Mode as Hayate and register at least one win so your name enters the rankings. Enter EIN as the name to unlock Ein in every mode except Story, along with the Random Character Select feature.
Kasumi: Her hairstyle changes with the button pressed on the select screen, A for the normal ponytail, X for a braided ponytail and Y for loose hair. Unlock her hidden costume by completing her full move list under the Exercise option in Sparring Mode.
Hayabusa: While selecting Costume 2, press X for the white Storm Shadow version of his ninja outfit.
Hitomi: While selecting Costume 1, press X. Hitomi removes her jacket to reveal her tank top.
Zack: Win 20 matches in Survival Mode with Zack to unlock his hidden costume.
Brad Wong: While selecting Costume 2, press X for a reddish version of his outfit.
Tina: While selecting Costume 1, press X to see Tina in a green top and leopard print trousers.
Bass: While selecting Costume 2, press X for a shirtless Bass.
Leon: While selecting Costume 1, press X for a shirtless Leon wearing a bandolier.
Bayman: While selecting Costume 1, press X for a blue beret Bayman without his vest.
Jann Lee: While selecting Costume 1, press X for black trousers and yellow shoes, or press X on Costume 2 for a yellow version of his kung fu outfit. His bouncer costume reportedly drops as a silver Xbox item picked up after a Survival Mode win, though it may take several tries.
Lei Fang: Costume 1 has three versions. Press Y for white, X for blue, or hold the Left Trigger and press X, Y or A for black.
Christie: While selecting Costume 2, press X for a purple version of her suit.
Helena: While selecting Costume 2, press X for a black version of her dress.
Hayate: While selecting Costume 2, press X for a green version of his ninja outfit.
Ayane: While selecting Costume 2, press X for a white version of her dress.
Ein's hidden costume: Finish Time Attack with Ein in under six minutes, a total of eight battles, to unlock his third costume.
Helena in the Aquarium: Leave the Press Start screen untouched until the intro restarts and it opens with Helena swimming in the Aquarium tank instead of the usual Azuchi scene.
Ending credits option: Beat Story Mode with every character, then toggle the staff credits on or off for each ending in the Game Settings screen.
