Championship Manager Season 01/02 Cheats
How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Championship Manager: Season 01/02 on the original Xbox has no button cheat codes, but there are a few handy exploits and one Easter egg worth knowing.
Free players: Add a new manager and take control of the club that owns the player you want. Set his transfer status and put him on the market for £0, then fine him two weeks' wages so he asks to leave. Switch back to your own club, bid £0, return to the second manager and accept the offer, then give him a contract. Retire the extra manager afterwards and the player is yours for nothing.
Lower squad status without upsetting the player: Transfer-list the player first, then change his squad status to Backup or Hot Prospect while he is still listed. Wait two or three days, remove him from the transfer list and he will stay happy with his role. You can then give him a new status if you like.
Amusing coach report: Select Action, then Set Nickname, and enter one of the developers' names, for example Oliver Collyer, Paul Collyer, Paul Norman, Kevin Turner, Marc Duffy, Svein Kvernoey or Mark Woodger. Ask for a coach report afterwards for an amusing response.
Easy way to sign any player: Pick a club rich enough to afford it, then bid at least £6,000 above the player's value. If the offer is rejected, keep raising it until the club accepts, then offer the best contract you can afford. If it still fails, your club's reputation may be too low.
Recommended players: Henrik Larsson and Andriy Shevchenko up front, supplied by a playmaker like Zinedine Zidane, will score every game. Buy 15-year-old Cherno Samba from Millwall at the start of a season, and keep an eye on youngsters Arjen Robben at Groningen and Rafael van der Vaart at Ajax.
