How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO hides most of its secrets behind Arcade mode performance goals. Earn enough Groove Points (GPS) and special finishes and the hidden bosses appear.
| Unlockable | How to unlock |

| Hidden bosses | Fulfil two of three conditions in Arcade mode to face Ultimate Rugal on a Capcom groove or Shin Akuma on an SNK groove, then beat them to use them yourself. The conditions are 1500 or more GPS, defeating the middle boss Geese or Bison/Vega, and at least one Finest KO. |
| Boss Challenge mode | Defeat and unlock both hidden bosses, then highlight Arcade mode, hold X and Y and press Start. |
| Custom Grooves | Defeat a normal boss, Akuma or Rugal, which appears when you fulfil two of four conditions, namely 1000 or more GPS, four or more special KOs, the middle boss appearing, or two or more level 3 super combo KOs. |
| Extra options | Clear Boss Challenge mode without continuing. |
| Infinite groove edit points | Defeat all 46 opponents in All Survivor mode for unlimited groove edit points. |
Random groove: Press Start on the groove selection screen for a random groove.
One on three mode: Highlight any fighter on the character select screen and press a button, then let the timer run out to start a one on three match.
Extra colour edit options: Press Start while editing a fighter's colours to reveal more options down the left of the screen.
Alternate costumes: Highlight a fighter at the character select screen and press all three Kick buttons, or all three Punch buttons, for two new colours.
Victory quotes: Hold Start and FP after winning a stage for an opponent-specific quote, or Start and FK to talk with a team mate.
Easy Boss Challenge: If you are about to lose the final round of Boss Challenge mode, press Start on controller two to bring in a second player and rescue the run.
