How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Burnout 2: Point of Impact has no button codes on Xbox. Its cheats are menu options unlocked in-game; unlocking any cheat adds the Cheat Mode selection to the options screen, and races do not count as wins while a cheat is active.

| Invulnerability | Complete all Grand Prix Championships with gold medals. |
| Infinite Boost | Earn all 79 gold medals. |
| Runaway mode | Complete Crash mode with gold medals in every challenge. A free-play Crash mode with no goals and no brakes; hold R to boost at the start. |
| Freerun | Complete every stage of the Custom Series Championship to race without traffic. |
| Custom Series Championship | Earn gold medals in every race and complete Championship mode. |
| Face Off mode | Unlock and complete all three Face Offs in Championship mode. |
| Pursuit mode | Unlock and complete all three Pursuit stages in Championship mode. |
| Crash mode | Complete the Offensive Driving 101 lessons. |
| Multiplayer mode | Complete the first set of Offensive Driving 101 lessons. |
