How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Blood Omen 2 has a main menu button code that starts a new game with powerful equipment, plus a handful of boss strategies and tricks worth knowing.

Confirmation: A voice says Go Cheese when a code is entered correctly. Start a new game and Kain begins with the gear already equipped.
Instant kill: Use the Mist dark gift near an enemy and sneak up behind them. When a skull icon appears, attack for a one hit kill. Approaching from the front blows your cover.
Defeating Faustus: Block his combos and strike back after his third punch. In the furnace room, use Mist form to sneak in and trigger the furnaces when he stands in front of them.
Defeating Magnus: Hide behind the fountain statues so his fire hits stone, then shoot him with telekinesis. Once he falls in the water, move to the next statue and repeat.
Defeating Marcus: Ring the cathedral bells with the side switches to break his concentration, hit him as you pass, then finish him on the upper floor where the bells no longer matter.
Defeating Sebastian: Block his attacks and use Fury to knock him into the rotating steam, dodge the glowing charge attacks, then repeat the pattern through his later forms.
Defeating the Sarafan Lord: Use telekinesis to unbalance him then hit him with a jump attack, block until your rage bar fills for Immolate in phase two, and finish him with Fury and Berserk in the final phase.
Extra lore farming: Skip a save point, clear the enemies ahead, then touch the save point and let yourself die. You respawn with the same lore total and all the enemies return for another harvest.
