How to use these cheats
Button names refer to the Xbox controller — A, B, X, Y, the LB/RB bumpers, LT/RT triggers and the D-pad. Unless told otherwise, enter codes from the pause or options menu, or while playing. Some cheats disable achievements for that save — keep a separate save before you start.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has no traditional cheat codes on Xbox 360. Multiplayer weapons, gadgets and specialisations are unlocked with experience points earned for each kit.
Weapon unlocks: Gear is tied to kit experience. Standout milestones include the XM8 Prototype at 3,020 assault points, the M249 SAW at 3,340 medic points, the M16A2 at 47,000 assault points and the G3 assault rifle at 405,000 total experience.
SPECACT kits: The four SPECACT kit uniforms and matching weapons were distributed through Limited Edition and Dr Pepper promotional codes, entered on the Multiplayer Unlockables screen. The promotions have long since ended.
Battlefield Veteran: The WWII M1 Garand is unlocked through the Battlefield Veteran programme by registering earlier Battlefield games on your EA account rather than through a code.: The codes try4ndrunf0rcov3r, your3mynextt4rget, cov3r1ngthecorn3r and aw3somef1rep0wer are often listed for this game but they actually belong to the original Battlefield
