Mafia II has 67 achievements worth 1,500 Gamerscore on Xbox 360: 47 in the base game worth 1,000 Gamerscore, plus 10 each worth 250 Gamerscore in the Jimmy's Vendetta and Joe's Adventures DLC. Hints, easter eggs and Playboy centerfold locations are listed first.
Easy money hints: Go to Bruski's Scrapyard and break into the random car located near the car crusher. Drive the car into the car crusher and crush it to get about $400. Enter the car you came in and drive it out of the scrap yard through the north exit. Stay on this road until you drive under a bridge, then turn around and return to the scrap yard. Another random car will have respawned near the car crusher. Repeat as desired. This also earns the Proper Scrapper achievement. Alternatively, go to a store and spend some money, then pull out a gun and rob the store. You will get more money than you would by just robbing the store alone.
Removing wanted level: To remove your wanted level, go to the nearest phone and make a call. It will give you the option to bribe the police. Choose this choice to remove your wanted level.
Avoid death near cars: When you are hiding behind a car in a gun fight, stay away from the engine. If the engine part is facing the enemy, their gunfire may cause it to explode and kill you.
Gilbert Gottfried easter egg: There is a shoe shiner in Chinatown that looks and sounds like Gilbert Gottfried.
Jimi Hendrix easter egg: You will earn the Hey Joe achievement when you crush the car that has the bartender's body in it after Joe killed him. In the Jimi Hendrix song "Hey Joe", the lyrics include the line "Hey Joe, where you going with that gun in your hand."
Zero Wing easter egg: When you go to prison and to the yard, there will be a crazy man in the centre. He says phrases such as "All your base are belong to us", "Someone set us up the bomb", and "You have no chance to survive make you time", from Zero Wing. If you talk to him, he will run away.
Playboy Centerfold locations: Find the following Playboy Centerfolds by playing the corresponding Chapters and searching the indicated locations.
