NES Ghostbusters easter egg: Look at one of the monitors on a desk upstairs at the Ghostbusters’ headquarters to see the ending screen from Ghostbusters on the NES.

Upgrades total: All the upgrades cost will cost you $166,500.

Sleazy hotel: When using your PKE Meter to track Slimer, go up to Room 1206 and to the right of the vase he is hiding in. A man and a woman arguing (or doing something else) can be heard through the door.

Spider Witch preview: When hunting Slimer, you will find room 1221– the Spider Witch’s room. Looking through the Paragoogles at the lower left decoration will reveal a glowing spider.: Look at the wall behind Peter’s desk to find some funny things: Newspaper clippings – “Teacher’s Death was Natural”, “OMG Ten Ghostbusters They are Gonna Blow Your Mind” , “Beware Central Park at Midnight”, “Vigo Painting Melted: It was awesome when it exploded”Degrees – “Your Name Here”, “Hey”, “The Big Apple

Peter’s desk area: Back in the firehouse after the “Shador Island” level, there are Spanish newspapers scattered about. The headline reads “Un Cubano En El Cosmos,” which means “A Cuban in Space.”Rookie’s real name: Check your messages when you get back from the Stay Puft Marshmallow level. The new person’s father or friend says “You’re doing adequate work out there Luke, keep it up!”, revealing his name to be Luke Hoss. Ghost “thruster” hint

To the Cause”Spanish headlines: In the museum, while chasing the Chairman with Alyssa, you will enter an exhibit that shows the burial customs of the Gozerian Cult. Once you enter this room, quickly turn to the right and you will see three portraits in the dark. Use the Stasis Stream to illuminate the painting. You will see a skeleton creature kissing a woman, but he has pulled up her dress and appears to be touching her.

The Extreme Ghostbusters easter egg: While in the firehouse, go down by the containment unit and look on one of the work desks to see a circular ghost trap that was used in the late 1990’s cartoon called The Extreme Ghostbusters.

Fan fiction easter egg: Go upstairs at Ghostbusters headquarters to find a drawing by a child on pink paper hanging near some electrical equipment. The text “To Uncle Egon, from Ed.” Appears on it. This is a reference to the fan fiction Ghostbusters videos “Freddy vs. Ghostbusters” and “The Return Of The Ghostbusters” which features Egon’s nephew Ed Spengler.

Ghostbusters eastere eggs: -While in the hotel ballroom with Slimer, press [Action] by the piano to occasionally hear the same notes that Peter played in Dana’s apartment in the first movie.-In the Sedgewick Hotel level, you will pass room 1204 while hunting for Slimer. Inside can be heard the original Ghostbusters commercial from the movie. This is also a reference to Dana Barrett, who had a habit of leaving her television turned on too loud.

Ghostbusters II easter eggs: -In front of the water fountain in the firehouse is a window looking back into storage where you can see the “Ghostbusters II” sign and some doors from Ecto 1A.-While in the firehouse just before returning to the closed-up Sedgewick, play through the phone messages. You will hear a woman asking for the number to Ray’s Occult bookstore.

Indiana Jones easter egg: One of the messages on the answering machine is from a Professor Jones who is attempting to locate the Vigo painting, stating that it belongs in a museum.

Madame de Pompadour easter egg: The portrait of Ivo Shandor’s mother we see on Shandor Island is in fact modeled after Francois Boucher’s 1750s portrait of Madame de Pompadour, courtesan to Louis the XV of France. Though a political and historically significant figure, she was pretty much a prostitute. O. J.: One of the messages from the Vigo painting is a reference to the O.J. Simpson trial, reading “I see the evil in the times to come. The glove won’t fit.”The Real Ghostbusters easter egg

Simpson easter egg: In the basement on the far work station there is a PKE meter modeled after the one from The Real Ghostbusters.: While listening to the answering machine messages, one will be of a man talking in a gruff voice asking, “Who busts the Ghostbusters?”Unlockable Options

Watchmen easter egg: Unlock the following options at the “Options” menu by performing the corresponding tasks

Shootin’, Tex!” achievement hint: To unlock this achievement without having going through Story mode a second time, acquire amemory card and a hard drive. With a completed saved game file on your hard drive, start a new game on your memory card. Play past the training mission and save the game as soon as you get into the hotel mission. Then, quit the game. Load the saved game file from the hard drive and go to the final Boss. Go into the “Options” menu, then to the “Game Play” setting and change the “Memory” setting to the memory card. Defeat the Boss and the achievement will be unlocked.

HQ hint: In Ghostbusters HQ, there’s a table upstairs with a phone. Interact with the message machine to the left of it to listen to a variety of voicemail. There is new voicemail each time you go to Ghostbusters HQ.
