Easy costume pieces: When you are playing a level that unlocks a costume, save the game on file A just before the level ends. Complete the level to get a costume piece and save the game on file B. Load file A and complete it to get another costume piece; save it on file B. Weapon upgrade ingredients: Easily obtain funds by equipping the “Steal” feature onto your weapon using “Special” when you go into the forge. First, find a city that has a forge while making sure you have enough money and the correct type of gems to equip onto your weapon. When “Steal” is equipped onto your weapon, use it to steal gold from your enemies, lieutenants, guard captains, normal enemies, and generals. During battle, wait until you get a horde of enemies surrounding you to get plenty of gold. Repeat as many times as desired when you invade other countries.

Diao Chan’s Plan secret event: When you become a ruler in Empire mode, be careful of the officer Diao Chan. Staying true to her namesake and Story mode, she has only one reason to enter your employ. When acquired and a message stating “Hearing of your deeds….” or something to that effect, “…Diao Chan decided to join you”, dismiss her. She will steal some of your officers in this random event you cannot control or stop once in motion, saying “I can finally put my father’s plan into action” or something of the sort.

Note: If it instead states “Diao Chan entered your employ”, the event most likely should not happen.

Mercenary missions: When you do Mercenary missions that give you a specific amount of money, always go for the highest amount. For example, the “Snow Tigers” mission will give you 1,600 gold. You can get plenty of gold in that mission by helping the other generals that are getting attacked by other armies, but do not attack the Snow Tigers just yet. Have the Snow Tigers be the final thing to fight. Repeat this mission as many times as desired.

Note: When you do these missions repeatedly to get more money, and you have to end your turn, the other generals in the other countries level up more than you do, and you can get defeated easier.

Lu Meng’s Training special event: When in Ruler mode and you acquire Lu Meng, he asks you to leave on a journey to train and learn. You have no say in the matter, but for a couple months, his troop count falls to 1 (as in just himself). You are free to use him, but this is not wise, considering the effects of troop numbers in battles, which is vital compared to Officer mode. When he returns, he acquires a second ability, “Flames” (though it may be random), and his troop count returns to normal.

Bladestorm:

Hundred Years War easter egg: After completing Officer mode (or maybe Empire mode in general) you will unlock a Knight armor set. Examine the armor to notice that it is from Bladestorm–the paladin set. Achievements
