What it is

This is a single package that translates three Hasbro junior board games into a console/PC video game: Monopoly Junior, Clue Junior and The Game of Life Junior. The core ideas of each original board game are preserved — buying properties and running around the board in Monopoly Junior, searching rooms and following clues in Clue Junior, and spinning and collecting stars in The Game of Life Junior — but the rules and presentation are simplified and presented through a bright, child-friendly digital interface.

Outright and the developer describe the title as tailored for younger players while being accessible for family play: there are unlockable costumes and avatar customisation, basic progression and small in-game challenges and rewards to keep short sessions engaging. Visuals use a bird’s-eye/isometric viewpoint for the board scenes, and the tone is deliberately playful and non-threatening.

How it plays

The publisher has made clear the package emphasises pick-up-and-play accessibility. The three games keep their original turn-based structure — dice rolls, spinner mechanics, clue-finding and simple deductions — presented with on-screen prompts and a ‘detective notebook’ in Clue Junior to track deductions. Outright’s materials and the Xbox preview stress these digital helpers make the experience easier for younger players and remove fiddly bookkeeping.

Local multiplayer is the focus: the collection supports up to four players on one console with shared / split-screen options, and there are single-player games against AI. Progression is light — cosmetic unlocks, outfits and stat/trackers — rather than deep campaign systems. No publisher material confirms a matchmaking or online-play lobby system for cross-console or internet play.

Platforms, release and rating (UK)

Outright lists the game for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and gives a UK launch date of 6 November 2026; the announcement was published 24 June 2026. The Microsoft Store/Xbox pages present the title as Optimised for Xbox Series X|S with Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere support for the Microsoft ecosystem. Multiple storefront pages (Nintendo, Microsoft, Steam) show the game carries a PEGI 3 classification and an ESRB Everyone / US equivalent for other regions.

At the time of writing there is no verified UK retail RRP listed by the publisher; UK prices and boxed retail availability should appear with retailer listings closer to launch.

Trailers and previews so far

Outright published the announcement and an official trailer on 24 June 2026 showing short clips of Monopoly Junior, Clue Junior and The Game of Life Junior gameplay, avatar customisation and family-friendly presentation. Xbox’s editorial preview (September 16, 2026) provided deeper detail on how Clue Junior’s investigation mechanics and the detective notebook work, and reiterated the collection’s emphasis on local multiplayer and easy-to-read UI for younger players.

Store pages (Microsoft Store, Nintendo product pages, Steam entry) add technical notes such as support for split-screen/local multiplayer, 60fps+ performance targets on modern hardware and Xbox-specific features (achievements, cloud saves) but do not introduce new gameplay modes beyond what Outright has described.

What’s still unconfirmed

Online multiplayer: the publisher’s announcement and the platform storefronts emphasise local multiplayer and single-player modes but do not confirm online multiplayer or matchmaking; online play has not been confirmed by Outright.

Xbox One and Game Pass: Outright’s announcement and official game page list Xbox Series X|S and PC but do not list Xbox One; several third-party pages list Xbox One as a platform but this is not present on the publisher’s site. There is no confirmation the game will appear on Xbox Game Pass at launch. UK boxed price and retailer-specific pre-order details have not been published by the publisher.

Not yet confirmed

  • Online multiplayer or cross-play — publisher has not confirmed any online matchmaking or internet play features.
  • Xbox One support — many third-party listings include Xbox One, but the publisher’s announcement and official product page list Xbox Series X|S and PC but not Xbox One.
  • UK retail price / boxed edition details and retailer pre-order information.
  • Whether the game will be on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
