What it is
Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea is the next mainline entry from Natsume’s Harvest Moon series, a farming-adventure that grafts open-world exploration and light action onto the traditional crop-and-community loop. Natsume announced the game in March 2026 and has confirmed a global release for 15 October 2026; it remains unreleased at the time of writing. The developer and publisher list Natsume alongside co‑development credit for IMAGICA GEEQ on PC’s Steam page, and the available materials outline a playable mix of farming, village quests, exploration and companion-based traversal.

Story and setting
You play a character raised in Bloomfield Village who must leave home when a mist from the Forest of Echoes blankets Teradea. Natsume’s announcement and marketing copy set up a mystery: wild animals prowl at night, villages suffer strange storms and tremors, and rumours tell of a guardian wolf tied to the land’s malaise. Much of the narrative focus is on restoring Teradea — visiting coastal Tidewind, mining settlement Quarrytop and faded cultural centre Maplehill — and working with the Harvest Goddess and local communities to lift the Forest’s veil.
How it plays
Echoes of Teradea keeps Harvest Moon’s staples — tending crops, raising animals and building relationships — but layers on exploration mechanics and light wilderness danger. The publisher’s feature list and the Steam store describe new exploration abilities (jumping, climbing), an animal companion system that lets mounts and pets assist traversal, remote islands reached via nautical charts, and untamed wilderness areas where wolves, bears and tigers can force a retreat and item loss. Romance is present: the game advertises ten marriageable characters (five bachelors, five bachelorettes). Steam classifies the title under Adventure, Simulation and Single‑player, and lists single‑player among core features.
Platforms, editions and UK details
Natsume’s press release and storefront listings confirm a multi‑platform launch: Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). Steam and the Nintendo store show the release date as 15 October 2026; Natsume issued an update in August 2026 that moved the game’s release to that October date. A Natsume pre‑order announcement and a later Natsume news post reveal a collector’s edition (pre‑orders handled through specific stores such as the PANAX/Natsume outlets), and third‑party retailers have listed physical editions for multiple platforms. At time of writing no UK RRP in pounds is published on official UK retailer pages; where specific UK pricing or retailer exclusives exist they have not been confirmed by Natsume’s UK partners.
Trailers, reveals and what was shown
Natsume released the debut trailer on 18 June 2026 which introduced the misted Forest of Echoes, the wolf motif, village locations and snippets of exploration and farming. The March 11 2026 announcement (press PDF) set out core features including the ten love interests, exploration abilities, animal companions and island content. On 12 August 2026 Natsume published a short update stating the release had been moved to 15 October 2026. On 25 August 2026 Natsume announced a physical Collector’s Edition with pre‑orders opened via the publisher’s chosen stores; coverage from outlets summarised the boxed contents and limited run details.
What remains unconfirmed
Several practical details remain either unannounced or only hinted at: UK retail pricing (official UK RRP and high‑street stockists), whether there will be a UK physical run for every platform beyond the collector’s edition, whether the game will appear on Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus at launch or later, and the game engine used. Any talk of post‑launch DLC, online features or co‑op is unconfirmed; every official source lists single‑player only and there has been no publisher confirmation of online multiplayer.
