Multi-player headshots:
A metal “ping” sound will confirm a headshot kill.

Better aiming accuracy:
Use the red dot scope over the ACOG scope. The red dot will give you a
better aimpoint on most weapons. The ACOG scope will actually add more
range, but take away accuracy.

Level up quicker:
Use the same gun until all the marksman and elite challenges are
completed. This will quickly level you up to new guns, but do not use
them. Keep using the same one you started with until the challenges are
completed.

Easy Intel Pieces on “All Ghillied Up”:
Go to the location of the first Intel Piece, located at the top of the
ladder in the first church. Get the Intel Piece and fall back down. You
will die and start out getting the Intel Piece again. The Intel Piece
keeps adding to the total number that you have. Repeat this process
until you have 30 Intel Pieces.

Sniping location on “Crash”:
Note: You can do this only in multi-player matches. Go to a multi-player
match at the “Crash” map. Make sure it is an Old School match. Go to
the location of the helicopter crash. There is a very tall building that
should be easy to identify. Climb all the way to the top of the roof.
Get up onto the blue box-like “vents”. Look over at the little open door
where you came out of (if you went through the building, and not up the
ladder). Sprint for a brief moment, then jump onto the top of that
little roof object. If done properly, you should land on the roof. Jump
over onto the fenced part. This is easy because the boundaries are set
there, so you cannot fall off. Carefully walk up on the fence where you
see a somewhat shorter building. Sprint, then jump. If done properly,
you should have landed on a roof with a satellite dish. This roof has a
great view over the crash and the people will have no idea where you
are. This is a great spot for sniping or heavy gunning. It is probably
not as useful when using SMGs.

Televisions never go off:
When throwing regular and/or flash grenades at televisions that are on,
they will at times still keep working even though they have been blown
up.

Sniping location on “Crossfire”:
Play the old school free 4 all section. Note the building at the very
end of the map on the opposite side of the bus. Get to the very top of
the building that is around the corner. Do to so, first get to the
second story where the chair is found. Get on the top of the chair
facing the wall and jump. You may have to run and jump, but eventually
you will catch an edge. You can then work your way up to the position.
Once there, go to your right. Then, jump up onto the object just past
the building that you are currently on. Walk around the building, trying
to stay as close to it as possible. Then, look down. Make sure you are
directly above the barbed wire. Follow that until you get to the
building, then jump onto it. Then, just walk across to the other
building. Note: You will be floating in air. When you get there, go to
the extreme left of the building. Jump and you will notice a glitch —
you are on an invisible object. Once you get there, jump again to get on
top of the building. Then, go backwards but do not go off the building.
Run and jump just when you get to the front edge. You will now be
floating in the air. When you are almost on the fence below, you will
fall. When you fall, walk directly along with the fence or else you will
fall. You can just crouch and shoot people.

Have three guns:
To do this trick you must have the Overkill (level 38), and the Last
Stand (level 8) perks enabled. The Overkill perk should give you two
primary weapons of your choice. Play a game and use this class. When you
are put into Last Stand, you will get an M9. You cannot choose the
pistol you want. Note: You can only use the M9 when you are in Last
Stand.

Three perks hint:
When you select an attachment for a weapon it takes up the first perk.
To stop this, choose your perks then choose your weapons and attachment.
You will then have three perks and a weapon attachment.Dog attack on “All Ghillied Up”:During the “All Ghillied Up” mission, you will eventually find a wild dog eating a dead soldier’s corpse. You will be told to leave it alone, but if you want to very likely get devoured, shoot it to be attacked by a large pack of angry dogs.Sniping locations on “Ambush”:-When playing the Marine’s side (wooden shacks and the field), there is a dumpster in the back building that has a turret, up against a ground window. Crouch and sit inside the building behind the dumpster to snipe out of the window down the side alley. Also, in the back building, go up the stairs and turn left to a table beside the stairs. Climb onto the table and then onto the railing (banister). This might take a few attempts. Jump across the stairs and onto the gray ledge with the fencing. From here you have a great sniping view of the entrance to the field and the big concrete building on your side.-When playing on the OpFor/Spetznas side (the destroyed concrete buildings), as soon as the game starts, go straight to the hole in the ground. Directly in front of it are two roadblocks. Go prone (lie down) and look between them to snipe across the street to the opposite concrete building (helicopters can see you). -When playing on the OpFor/Spetznas side, go down the street and up the stairs on the left to find a sheet metal ledge that you can stand on. Stand on the edge of the sheet metal and look to the left (back to your spawn point) to notice an opening in the side of the building. Sprint jump off the end into the side of the building. This might require a few attempts. Sniping locations on “Backlot”:-On the Marines side of “Flag B” is sheet metal guarding the top of a building. Climb the ladder to reach the top. To stand on the sheet metal itself, climb onto a ledge and slowly go back and forth until you see the “Climb” option. Proceed to the ledge besides the building overlooking the tiny enclosure. Jump on the white radiator you come across. Notice the little knobs sticking out of the buildings and carefully jump on each knob until you can jump onto a balcony. From here you can snipe 180 degrees from the crumbled building to the construction building.Easy challenge points on “Crash”:On “Crash” during an online multiplayer match, go to the building with three floors and jum off the top from the ladder to the bottom to get easy challenge points.Sniping locations on “Creek”:-On the Marine/S.A.S side,? go into the barn for a defensive sniping location. In one corner are some pallets (wooden boards) that you can climb to reach a ledge that goes around the barn. There are many gaps in the wall that you can snipe from. Note: Helicopters can see you.-At the bottom of the hill, go across the creek and find a rock with grass on it sheltered by two boulders. Wear a Ghilly suit and snipe from there to have a view of the entire cliff ledge.Desert Eagle on “Crew Expendable”:In the second large containment room, run ahead of your team to find two enemies with Desert Eagles that will try to surprise you around two corners, depending on the path you take.Aliens easter egg on “Crew Expendable”:When Gaz pulls out his shotgun, he says “I like to keep this handy for close encounters.” Corporal Hicks says the same thing in the 1986 movie Aliens when he and his team of mercenaries are forced to give up their weapons due to the possibility of creating an explosion, moments before they are ambushed by the aliens.Easy points on “Death From Above”: In Arcade mode, you can score easy points by shooting the building with the 105mm or the 40mm. You will get 1,000 points when the building is destroyed.Obstacle course on “F.N.G.”:When Gaz tells you to go to Captain Price, exit the building and move towards the fence. Follow the fence to find three men in a crouch on the left side. Walk past them to find an obstacle course that you can run for fun.SSgt. Griggs’s “Success!” comment on “Game Over”:Kill all three RPG enemies on the pursuing trucks in Game Over to hear SSgt. Griggs say “Success!”M60E4 on “Game Over”:After the helicopter blows up the bridge and you get back up onto the flat part of it, a truck full of soldiers will be backing up away from you. While the truck is still moving, a soldier will jump out the passenger side door. Shoot him and he will drop the M60E4. You will have to throw a grenade almost immediately as there will be four soldiers that will run out of the back of the truck that you must kill. Note: If you run past the location where the truck stops you will immediately die.Hidden weapons on “Heat”:At the start of the map, everything will be the same except for all the barbed wire. Go back into the church. then up the stairs and ladder to find some RPGs.Airplane easter egg on “Mile High Club”:During the opening sequence of the “Mile High Club” level, when a hole is being cut to drop into the plane, somebody says, “Surely you can’t be serious”. Captain Price then says, “I’m serious, and don’t call me Shirley”, a line from the movie Airplane.Canine help on “One Shot, One Kill”:During the mission where you have to carry your captain (when you are in the Ghillie Suits),you will find an abandoned swimming pool with some rabid dogs at the bottom. Instead of killing them, run around the edge without fallingl in. When you drop your captain off behind the Ferris wheel and both of you get into position, there will be a patrol after you. When your captain tells you to open fire with your sniper rifle, shoot anyone on the left side nearest to the building with the pool in it. They will all hit the deck after one of their teammates dies. The dogs will sense danger, jump out of the window, and attack the soldiers. This is helpful and saves ammunition as at least four or five of the soldiers die.Extra claymores on “One Shot, One Kill”:On the last part of the mission where you must put Captain MacMillan down by the Ferris wheel and wait for the helicopter, you can get an extra full round of claymores. Before putting MacMillan in the grass where he tells you to, put him down anywhere else so he doesn’t call in the helicopter yet. Take the opportunity to go around planting the claymores you already have, then pick up MacMillan again and place him in the area he wants to be placed at. He will tell you to plant some claymores and give you a fresh batch. You now have a full inventory of claymores again to plant. Note: Avoid planting them where the enemies come from (behind the buildings) since as soon as one explodes, they all start crawling around and are harder to kill. Try to plant them near cars where enemies hide behind to destroy the car and kill two or more enemies if you are lucky. Hidden weapons on “Safehouse”:There is a church near the start of the mission. Enter it to find two doors on either side of the entrance. Turn on your night vision and you will see stairs that lead to a ladder. Go up it and you will find weapons like the Dragunov sniper and the Javelin missile launcherLewis and Clark easter egg on “The Sins Of The Father”:Before the ambush starts, look on top of the gas station roof. Notice that the names of the men are Pvt. Lewis and Pvt. Clarke, a reference to the explorers.Extra ammo from ammo-sharing weapons:-At level 38 you unlock the Overkill perk (located in the Perk 2 or red perks) which allows you to carry two primary weapons rather than a pistol. Some of the guns in online play can share ammunition. If you are a skilled sniper and prefer the bolt action to a semi-auto sniper, you should share ammo between the R700 (unlocked at level 34) and the G3 assault rifle (unlocked at level 25). That way, instead of having 40 rounds, you will have 152 rounds for the sniper rifle, effectively giving you an endless supply of ammo for the R700. G3 users will gain an extra 40 rounds (two clips). This works both ways. Since you share ammunition, you might not want to get too trigger happy with the G3. Also, there are more combination so try experimenting with different guns to see which can share ammo.-Reach level 46 to obtain the M14 assault rifle and the M21 sniper. In the class that you want to have the extra ammo you will need to have the M21 and M14 as a weapon, which require the your second perk on Overkill (obtained at level 38). For the other two perks you can have whatever desired.-Create an MP5 class and select the M9 for your side arm. Since the MP5 and M9 share ammo, you will have 90 rounds of ammo instead of 60. This is recommended if you prestiged and have lost your Bandolier perk. When you reach level 32, enable Bandolier in this class to get 270 rounds of ammo instead of 180.Getting rid of annoying teammates on Multiplayer:-When you have a teammate that is annoying you during a Hardcore match, first make sure you do not have Stopping Power. Next, take your pistol and fire a shot into their legs. In most cases, if you make it look like you did it on purpose, they will kill you. This is what you want as it will show up on people’s screen that that player just killed a teammate. Find the player and repeat this. If they kill you again, repeat this a third time and the game will auto-kill them while the rest of your team will assume the player is a Team Killer and may help you kill him. This should frustrate the player enough to make them leave the game, all without you being penalize.-As host of a game, press PlayStation Logo to bring up the Cross Media Bar menu. Go to “Friends List”, find the “Players Met” menu, and look for the player that is annoying you. Press Triangle on their name and add them to your “Block List” to kick them from the game. If you are a host, players on your Block List are unable to play a game with you and are thus automatically booted from the game.Goofy running on Multiplayer:In any multiplayer match, online or offline, take out your pistol and sprint while looking up. Usually without looking up you will do normal arm motions. However, while looking up you will flail your arms in circles and lean backwards, which looks pretty goofy.Infinite ammo on Multiplayer:Go to split screen mode and choose Free-For-All. Have one player select the Marksman combo (includes the R700 rifle and M9 pistol) while another player selects the War Fighter combo (includes the G36C rifle and the G3 rifle). Have the player with the War Fighter combo kill the Marksmanm. Then, take out the G3 and trade it for the R700. If the person has shot a few rounds, it will be refilled to the maximum. The R700 holds 32 bullets per round. If you shoot one clip, go back to the body to refill again.Easy kill streak on multiplayer:To get an easy seven kill streak, do not call in your helicopter right away. Instead, go out on a suicide mission and die. Once you respawn, find a good hiding location and call in your helicopter. Every kill your helicopter gets will add onto a kill streak. If your helicopter gets three kills you will get a UAV, five kills for an airstrike, and seven kills for another helicopter. Dying and finding a good hiding spot is important because, ifyou die at any time during this, your helicopter will not count towards a kill streak anymore.Easy experience hints:To level up faster than usual, try using the same gun until all the marksman and elite challenges are completed. They provide huge boosts and will quickly level you up to unlock better guns. However, do not use those guns yet. Instead, keep on the challenge until it has completed. The third phase of the challenge usually ends with 1,000 experience points, which will bump you up a rank almost in itself. Also, do not forget about the odd challenges such as jumping 15 feet and surviving or falling 30 feet to your death. To get that one, if not previously unlocked, play the “Countdown” map and jump into one of the open missile silos. You will earn instant experience points for simply dying. Also, remember to go prone and crouch to get those challenges as well.-To level up, gain points, and complete challenges easily, find a TDM game of the map “Shipment”, preferably with plenty of people. Also, make sure you have the Steady Aim/Martyrdom/Stopping Power perks on and select a gun you want to level up. Shipment is a very small close shoulder-to-shoulder map, allowing you to run around while holding down the trigger to take down as many people as possible. This is very fast paced and you should grab points very quickly.-Playing modes such as Sabotage and Ground War earn you lots of experience points because both games offer many kills. Sabotage has a long clock, giving you the opportunity to get many kills or challenges. Also, look for Sabotage on the Wetworks map as that map takes a lot of time to end.-Search for a Cage Match game until you become the host and no one else is in the room other than yourself. Then, invite a friend so he joins. Start the match and easily get challenges and rank up easily with your friend.-Use the following trick to level up and increase your Kill-Death ratio. Cook and hold a grenade at camping teammates, then throw it at them. Quickly switch teams and the grenade will become an enemy grenade and kill them. You will not lose points for switching teams and can rack up huge kill streaks. You can also get all of the bonuses such as Airstrikes, UAV, and helicopter. Note: This also works when using an airstrike. Call the airstrike on your team, then switch teams to kill them.-Play Headquarters as soon as it is unlocked. In this game mode, for every five seconds your team holds the headquarters you get 5 experience points. If you are on the winning team (a team wins when they reach 250 points), you will get 250 experience points in addition to whatever amount of kills you get. If you are unskilled and cannot manage to get kills, you will still get points just for being on the team that holds the headquarters. This is a gamble though because your team might go the entire match without ever having held the headquarters, resulting in no experience at all.Quicker reloads hint:When playing online or in Carrier mode and your gun runs out of ammo, you usually have to reload and cock your weapon. Note: This does not include RPGs and rifle mounted grenade launchers. To eliminate having to cock your gun after reloading, let your character reload and quickly sprint forwards a short distance. Stop sprinting and return your gun to the firing position to have it ready to fire without recocking.Special grenade descriptions:The following is a list of special grenades followed by their pros and cons:FlashbangPros – Blinds target, deafens and slows.Cons – Must be looking at grenade or in its direction to have any effect.StunPros – Deafens, slows and does a little damage to target even if detonated behind.Cons – Target can still see where he or she is shooting.SmokePros – Temporarily provides cover for getaways, relocation and traps (for example, throw a smoke grenade into a room and plant a claymore in the doorway, then throw a grenade inside to flush him out). Sniping hints:-If a target is moving, make sure to lead it. If you are not making shots, try to lead your target more. Also, if you are a skilled sniper, try using the M40A3 over the M21.The slower reload time and rate of fire area? small price to pay for having enough damage to kill a target in one shot instead of two or three. It also allows you to be less noticeable with less rounds being fired, so someone else trace your shots back to you. A good setup for the sniper is the Claymore perk to alert you when an enemy is trying to close in on your rear, as well as either the Sleight Of Hand or Stopping Power.Iron Lungs is also great as it gives you more time to line up your shots.-Choose three or four sniping points at every map through which you can rotate if one or two of your spots are “behind enemy lines”, are taken by another sniper, or do not offer desirable shots.-Take advantage of original locations while avoiding the generic spots that were designed as sniper positions on the map. Other skilled snipers enjoy checking these spots on a regular basis. One example of a spot everyone checks is the uncovered bridge on Overgrown.-Don’t always go for headshots. As a sniper you will get them, but only going for headshots leaves you with fewer kills and no ammo.-Do not camp in games that allow Killcams as the player you killed will most likely be out for revenge on his next life.-Find spots that provide cover (for example, not the middle of the road lying down). Sniping from extremely exposed locations makes you easy prey for more skilled snipers.-Pay attention to your body position. Although you cannot see them, your legs extend well behind you when lying down. Make sure you lay down so that your head faces your cover and your legs extend straight behind you and not off to the side. Prone snipers can be killed by shooting them twice in the foot. -When using a Bari 50 Cal., avoid pointing at an enemy then clicking as fast as possible. Shoot once and wait for the effects of the recoil to wear off before you shoot again, otherwise you will shoot straight up. -Perseverance is key. It takes a while to get used to the feel of your gun, the map, and the enemy. Experience is extremely valuable for a sniper so don’t be discouraged if you’re not tearing it up your first games sniping.Suicide bombing hint:Sometimes it is useful in multiplayer to just run at a group of enemies while holding a grenade.Car bomb hint:Find cars that have not exploded and knife out one of the windows, then toss a C4 into the car and run to another location. Wait for an enemy to run by the car and trigger the C4. The explosion from the C4 will cause the car to explode, significantly increasing the range and damage of the explosion. This works especially well in levels such as District where avoiding cars is difficult.Claymores hint:To get some easy kills with claymores, place them obvious locations such as sidewalks. Everyone always expects claymores to be just around a corner or in a doorway. However, very few players expect to see one laying out in an open area and will carelessly run onto them. One example is on the Crash level. Near the helicopter, place a claymore on the ground outside where people are always running around. Since they are running, there is a good chance they will run past and trigger it.Common location hints:Most maps have certain locations that players always tend to go to on multiplayer games. The following is a list of maps followed by their popular locations:CrashPlayers that prefer sniping usually go to the building opposite from the blue building (the one with a “balcony” and a ladder leading to the balcony). The blue building (with an almost-wrecked staircase and blue interior) is also a great location to plant claymores because players and teammates often fight over that building. Also, the building facing the back of the crashed helicopter tends to attract players.OvergrownPlayers tend to run around and snipe on the other side of the map (with the barn house and the building with an attic).Wet WorksOften, players run around and shoot people at the sides of the ship. Throwing a grenade there often weakens or kills any enemy there.ShipmentThe corners of the map are occasionally filled with easy-target players.BacklotThere is a building with a turret that has a large staircase (and a big hole on the second floor walls). This building is at one of the corners of the map. It is across the street from the two-story building with an accessible roof (the one with a garage and a car in it).ChinatownThere is a two-story building with two rooms on the second floor. One staircase leads up to these rooms. In one room there is a fridge and a couch by a window. This building is usually used by players to get away or run through. Hide or crouch beside the fridge and you may be able to kill some players without them noticing you, because players are often too busy running through or sniping.CreekDo not bother guarding or hiding in the creek since hardly any players go in there. Instead, sneak over to the area with the waterfall. You can also find enemy snipers and “teammate-pursuers” up on the narrow mountain with the sand bags at the top. This mountain is attached to the cave. It also has a trail going across the side of it. To get to this mountain, go to the side of the map with the barn house and the other wooden buildings. Then, go up the short, steep trail that leads to the top.CountdownPlayers like to go on the sides of the map.AmbushPlant claymores in the entrances to the underground tunnel. Also, look for snipers up on rooftops and players just running through the map. Army of enemies on “All Ghillied Up”:There are two spots on the “All Ghillied Up” mission where you can face an army of enemies or practice your shooting skills. Wait until you have passed the convoy with the tanks and the troops. You will see the two guards throwing dead bodies in the water. Shoot one of them in the leg and he will alert others. The entire convoy will then come at you. The other location is at the fire escape. Go up to the floor of the fire escape without shooting the sniper, then get a G36C from the top room and a Stinger. Shoot down the helicopter to get an enemy army after you.Sniping from out of map on “Ambush”:Note: Two players are required. When playing on the OpFor/Spetznas side, go left as soon as you spawn into the little area behind the yellow station wagon. Have one person keep jumping into the corner while the other crawls under them. When the crawling person is completely under the other, crouch and then stand (not at the same time but one after the other). If done correctly, the other person should have jumped over the wall and be out of bounds.Sniping from out of map on “Backlot”:Note: Two players are required. Go to the destroyed building and into the room with a missing roof. Have one person keep jumping into the corner while the other crawls under them. When the person is completely under the other player, crouch then stand (not at the same time but one after the other). If done correctly, the other person should have jumped over the wall and now be out of bounds.Sniping from out of map on “Crossfire”:The online Crossfire map has a great sniping location that can only be reached when you are playing the old school free 4 all section. Notice the building at the very end of the map on the opposite side of the bus. You can reach the very top of the building that is around the corner. First, get to the second story where the chair is found. Get on the top of the chair facing the wall and jump to catch an edge. Then, turn to your right and move your way up the ledge. When you reach the wall, stop, take two steps back, and turn to the ledge on the same level with you northeast. Pick out the spot with no rubble on it, then run and jump to reach the ledge. When you get up there, turn left and notice the slanted giant piece of rubble. Run up it, turn right, then jump and catch the ledge. Jump again to get up. Turn right and move to the wall of the building. Touch the wall, then turn left and move along closely to the wall. Do not go straight as you need to get around the corner and continue until you reach the next corner. Turn right and go straight until you get stuck on the window. Move slightly to the right until you can move forward. As soon as you are past this window sill, go back close to the wall and turn left.
